Many in Ireland would be surprised to learn that Baseball Ireland has a dedicated indoor training facility, located in Finglas, Dublin.

Officially called ‘Strike Zone’, the facility is used for training sessions and also acts as a centre for Baseball Ireland’s Academy programmes, with lots of the latest equipment that you would see in similar type facilities in the U.S.

Many Bobcat players belong to the Baseball Ireland Academy, with the season running from November until September every year and the U12 team training every Saturday and the U15 team training twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The Academy consists of players from other clubs throughout the area and is a great way to accelerate one’s development as a baseball player through repetition, focused coaching, extra game time, and being around other players who share a similar passion and love for the game.

Although the facility is mainly used by Baseball Ireland, it is open to rental from other sports and is used somewhat regularly by Softball Ireland, cricket clubs, and rounders clubs from around the area, and welcomes any other groups who may be in need of renting space for their sporting events.
